Pelican Timing Services is a race timing company based out of Lafayette, LA. Our timers have 14 yrs of timing experience.

Pelican Timing Services offers professional timing using the latest technology for timing and scoring services for running, triathlons, duathlons, swimming and biking events throughout the South.

We utilize RFID ULTRA DISPOSABLE TIMING SYSTEMS for cycling, running, and multi sports race events. 

We offer many services which includes Online Registration, at no cost to the Event or Organizer, Live Results designed for smartphones.  Results Kiosk, with individual result printouts.   Learn more about our Services.

Please be aware that the race has moved to the Lamar Dixon Expo Center located at 9039 S. St. Landry Ave., Gonzales, LA.
 
Event Details:
Entrants will receive a free T-shirt and free jambalaya at the after party – Run and after party is through the grounds of the Lamar Dixon Expo Center – Music, cooking, party atmosphere - This is a flat, fast course!
 
5K Teams will consist of 3 team members. The captain will create the Team Name and the members will join the Team.  
 
Note -  T-shirts are not guaranteed for those who register after 5/16/2025
 
Registration Fees:      
Till May 24th - $25 for the 5K, $15 for the 1 Mile and $30 for both
 
Packet Pickup (Location, Date & Time):
Race day starting at 7am at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center located at 9039 S. St. Landry Ave., Gonzales.
 
1 mile Fun Run - "Kids Run" AWARDS:
1st, 2nd, 3rd place medals for Male & Female - overall and age categories 1-4, 5-10 and 11-15
 
5K Awards: Top Overall Male & Female – 1st, 2nd, 3rd in each group Male & Female
Age Groups: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39 till 70+
 
Team awards are 1st and 2nd place medals for teams with lowest total time.

T-Gator Triathlon - Sunday, 6/08/25 In Person Race

Race Starts at 7 AM

T-Gator Triathlon is back! Experience this beloved event from years past and learn why this event was an athlete favorite! This race takes place in beautiful Sam Houston Jones State Park, which has received many upgrades the last few years since Hurricane Laura. T-Gator Triathlon features a 525 Meter Swim along the banks of the Calcasieu River, a 15 Mile flat and fast bike, and a 5k run through the park. This venue is as beautiful as ever and ready to provide Triathletes of all levels with an enjoyable race!
 
The triathlon will be chip timed by Pelican Timing. 
 

***Important Race Information***
Transition will be open race morning from 5:30 am to 6:45 am. The 6:45 am close is a hard time and will not be adjusted. Any racer that does not arrive in transition by 6:45 am will not be allowed to race. If a racer does miss the transition time, no refunds will be given. The safety of our athletes is of the utmost importance to us, and this rule will not be waivered.
 
Sprint Triathlon Distances:  525m Open Water Swim, 15 Mile Bike, 5k Run
 
Registration Fees for each Category:
$95 Single Athlete Entry
$125 Relay Team Entry

Sam Houston Park requires a $3.00 entry fee for all fans and racers. Some access will be limited as race start approaches.
