Pelican Timing Services is a race timing company based out of Lafayette, LA. Our timers have 14 yrs of timing experience.

Pelican Timing Services offers professional timing using the latest technology for timing and scoring services for running, triathlons, duathlons, swimming and biking events throughout the South.

We utilize RFID ULTRA DISPOSABLE TIMING SYSTEMS for cycling, running, and multi sports race events. 

We offer many services which includes Online Registration, at no cost to the Event or Organizer, Live Results designed for smartphones.  Results Kiosk, with individual result printouts.   Learn more about our Services.

Cultivation Nation Triathlon - Saturday, 8/30/25 In Person Race

Cultivation Nation Tri
600 yard swim: point to point 600 yard swim in Flint Creek Reservoir. Mostly flat swim, no boat traffic, no standing/walking.

17 mile bike: 17 miles from transition through the park to Hwy 29 to countryside OUT and BACK (NEW IN 2017). Moderately hilly. Couple of good climbs. From Flint Creek, turn left on Hwy 29, turn right on Oil Well, turn right to stay on Oil Well UNTIL Big Four, TURN at CONE and head back to Flint Creek Park.

3.1 mile run: challenging 3.1 miles from transition to mostly hard packed trail out and back.

CajunMan Triathlon - Sunday, 9/07/25 In Person Race

This race is a tradition, for all endurance fiends! 1/2 mile of swimming in Airport Lake, 20 miles of pedaling on the roads of Lafayette Parish, and 3.1 miles on foot through the grounds of the Lafayette Regional Airport.  Whether a beginner doing their first open water triathlon or an experienced triathlete looking for one of the best races on the Gulf Coast, this is the event!!

Race Distances

The SWIM -- 1/2 mile or 400 meter beginner
This is an open water swim. Water temperatures will most likely be in the mid-70F range. Use of wet suits is subject to USA Triathlon rules. The wetsuit call will be made after temperatures are taken race morning. Bring your wetsuit if you are so inclined. There will be boats and other water safety aid available during the swim. You should be able to swim at least ½ mile before deciding to enter this event. All swimmers will be required to wear swim caps, which will be provided.
THE BIKE -- 20 miles
New and improved route that avoids the worst sections on Garber Rd.    All turns will be marked. Volunteers will be on the course but you are to stay aware of the surroundings and to know the course. 

THE RUN -- 5K (3.1 miles)
The run will start and finish near the transition area near Airport Lake. The course will include the roads within the Lafayette Regional Airport. The course will be marked and volunteers will be on the course. There will be at least 2 possibilities to pass an aid station on the run. THERE ARE 3 WATER ON THE RUN. AT THE START OF THE RUN, MILE 1, HALF-WAY, MILE 2 AND RIGHT BEFORE THE FINISH. The aid stations will offer water, fluid replacement drinks, and encouragement. 

Relay Teams
Don't want to do the whole race? Come race as a team! Each team member will compete in one of the individual sports. Relay teams must have a minimum of 2 participants. (Yes, one team member can do 2 sports while the other team member does the other sport.)

USA Triathlon Sanctioned Race
This race is being sanctioned with USAT. You, including all relay team members, must be a licensed USA Triathlon member at the time of registration or buy a one-day license to participate for $15.00. you can buy one one our website in the store along with your registration.  NOT NECESSARY FOR 5K

Dance Away 5K & 1 Mile - Saturday, 9/13/25 In Person Race

The race will benefit the Teche Center for the Arts
 
A 5K walk/run through downtown historic Breaux Bridge, LA.  All participants will receive a free entry and a free Bloody Mary after the race at the world famous Zydeco Breakfast at Buck and Johnny's.  Participants must show race bib for free entry to the breakfast.  There will be a 1 Mile Fun Run.   
Also, this year we are offering a Virtual Race option for those of you who want to support our race but may not want to run or want to run it on your own time and pace. 
This year we will have a Most Spirited award for the best costume showing your Spirit.  Also, we will honor our First Responders with their own 5K category and awards.

The shuttle bus will run from near the Blind Tiger on the Bay St. Louis side from 5:30AM to 8:30AM continuously so you can get a ride back to the start after the race if you parked at the start. There will be signs marking the pickup near the Blind Tiger on Beach Blvd.

DESCRIPTION
Swim Across the Bay is a 2-mile, point-to-point swim founded in 2017 that starts at the Henderson Point Boat Launch in Pass Christian, MS. The swim route will be a straight line across the bay to the pier of the Bay St. Louis Municipal Harbor. All participants and volunteers will receive a Swim Across the Bay shirt.
Through this race, we are raising funds for Ainsley's Angels— a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting "inclusion without limits." The main way they do this is through their Angel Rider program. Individuals who have disabilities that typically prevent them from participating in races are pushed along the race via a chariot by an Angel Runner. All donations go toward funding equipment that let's Angel Riders fly with the wind!


Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female finishers. We will have a 2 hour cutoff for the race. Any swimmers that do not complete the race in 2 hours will be picked up by water support crews.  Any participant that is 17 and younger has to have a dedicated volunteer paddle next to them. All swimmers are welcome and encouraged to provide a kayak escort.
Participants can park at the finish line. A shuttle bus will be provided to the start of the race or can be dropped off at the start by a friend or relative.
Gear
You can use any safety equipment you want including a snorkel or personal buoy. You are forbidden to use any propulsion device including fins or hand paddles. You may wear a wetsuit however the water temperature is typically 80 degrees or higher which is considered unsafe for wetsuits. You must wear a swim cap, but it can be any cap you prefer. We will issue you a latex swim cap if you need one. Goggles are HIGHLY recommended.

Join us this year in person for our 10th Annual Ush One See 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run held in beautiful River Ranch Town Square and presented by Ush One See, Inc. Ush One See, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non profit organization in honor of our son, Hunter Faucheaux. This non profit was created to - #1 raise awareness about Usher Syndrome in the Acadiana area and #2 to raise funds for a potential cure to stop the vision loss aspect of Usher Syndrome Type 1C, the French/Acadian strand of the Usher gene. Fight for sight and be part of a revolution that finds a cure for vision loss affecting our very own here in Acadiana!

1 Mile Fun Run start time is 8:00 am, 5K start time is 8:30 am.
We will have kids entertainment, including a fun jump, for this event as well.
Water, sports drinks, fruit, donuts and a little Cajun cooking will be provided!
