Ritter Way Challenge 5K Run & 5K Walk - Saturday, 5/30/26 In Person Race

Saturday, May 30, 2026 @ 7:30 AM

Mill Pond Kennels
1222 Wall Rd
Broussard, LA US 70518

All proceeds for this event will go directly to the Jamieson Ritter Foundation!
https://www.jamiesonritterfoundation.org/

Jamieson was a devoted public servant, a proud member of the U.S. Army National Guard, and a dedicated police officer in Cleveland, Ohio. He was known for his selfless service, quiet strength, and unwavering commitment to protecting and uplifting his community. Tragically, Jamieson’s life was cut short in the line of duty on July 4, 2024. His loss has left a profound void in the lives of his family, friends, and all who knew him.
In the wake of this tragedy, the Jamieson Ritter Foundation was created to carry forward the values Jamieson lived by—service, compassion, and community. The Foundation supports initiatives that reflect Jamieson’s passions, including scholarships, community safety programs, and outreach efforts that build bridges between law enforcement and the communities they serve.

The Ritter Way events are more than a competition — it’s a time to come together as a community. This year, we are proud to also honor and commemorate the life and legacy of Senior Corporal Segus R. Jolivette, a Louisiana law enforcement officer who also made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.  Senior Corporal Jolivette served his community with courage, compassion, and unwavering dedication.  He lost his life on July 25, 2024, while responding to a dangerous hostage situation, exemplifying the true meaning of service and sacrifice.

As we gather for this event, we want to remember another hero, support his family, and recognize all those who put their lives on the line to protect others!

Join us as we celebrate, compete, and honor a legacy that will never be forgotten.
